Hello again, and welcome to 2025. You might feel fatigued by the seasonal glut of “year in review” posts or, alternatively, those posts lamenting what a terrible year 2024 was for so many people around the world. I shall spare you—though not as a kindness to anyone other than myself. I have something to share and I want to do it as soon as possible.
Three new PDF zinis have been added to the COMPLETE PARIAH SANDBOX COLLECTION as follows:
AHPZ35 ENTHEOGENS simplifies the original rules for traversing the Other Realms through ethnobotanical means, tying them to the thematic saving throw system:
AHPZ09 VALE OF MUI EIRU updates one of the six mile hexes included in Atop the Wailing Dunes with three mapped (and previously unreleased) adventure locations.
AHPZ36 TROPICAL FORESTS is a more generic set of tables to be used with GENIUS LOCI to populate your own PARIAH sandbox, providing a meatier take on the previously released WILDERNESS SUPPLEMENT.

Expect a follow-up to the City of a Hundred Gods in 3 years later this month as it forms the area of my creative focus beyond adding to the PARIAH sandbox.
Other upcoming posts should enable me to tie this January’s RPG Blog Carnival theme of Other Realms to the February’s sandbox releases: I should FINALLY be able to share a short guide/generator for running the Dawn Realm in its psychedelic glory, with the rest of them (including those realms Beyond) hot on their heals!
So… yeah. 2024 was shit in a lot of ways, and 2025 is likely to have a lot more shit in it. but also moments of beauty, excitement, creativity and love. So while I’m not getting bombed state terrorists, drowned by melting ice caps, burned by climate crisis infernos or ravaged by robot dogs I’m going to try and focus on those moments.
Oh and… I actually love year-in-review posts, I’m just too lazy and self-centred to produce one. Happy New Year!
